Sclerotherapy involves injecting a solution directly into the vein that causes it to scar and collapse, forcing blood to reroute through healthier veins. The collapsed vein is reabsorbed into local tissue and eventually fades.
Why choose sclerotherapy for spider veins
Sclerotherapy is considered the treatment of choice for spider leg veins. The treatment is minimally invasive. The procedure also can improve related symptoms such as aching, swelling, burning and night cramps. Treated veins tend to fade within a few weeks, although occasionally it may take up to two months to see the full results. In some instances, several sclerotherapy treatments may be needed.
What you should know about sclerotherapy for spider veins
It does not require anesthesia and usually takes 15 minutes to an hour to complete depending on the extent of the veins.
After the treatment area is cleansed with alcohol, the doctor uses a fine needle to slowly insert a solution or foam into the vein. Some patients experience minor stinging or cramps when the needle is inserted. The injection solution or foam irritates the lining of the vein, causing it to swell shut and block the flow of blood.
Once the needle is withdrawn, the I will apply compression and massage the area to keep blood out of the injected vessel and disperse the solution. For large veins, a compression pad may be taped onto the site to keep the area compressed while I move on to the next vein. The number of injections depends on the number and size of veins being treated.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, also known as The Vampire Facelift®, harnesses the body’s own healing powers to stimulate new tissue growth, giving your skin a healthy, more youthful appearance.
A small amount of the patients own blood is taken and the plasma is then separated out from the rest of the blood, by means of a centrifuge to create the platelet rich plasma. This plasma is then injected into the area of concern where the platelets release their growth factors.
PRP improves skin texture and tone and regenerates collagen, helping reduce wrinkles and lines, tackle blemishes, improve scarring and restore a healthy, youthful glow
Frequently Asked Questions
What areas can be treated with PRP?
Commonly treated areas include around the eyes, the jaw line, cheeks forehead, nasolabial lines, marionette lines and neck, also used for hair loss, pro athletes and patients with very damaged muscles will be administered using deep muscular injections of the plasma, remember this treatment is supplied by the NHS to burn victims it's that effective.
How does PRP work?
When the PRP is re-injected into the skin, growth factors are released by the platelets. This promotes healing and stimulates collagen production. Collagen, found naturally in the body, is the foundation of a youthful appearance. During the aging process less collagen is produced resulting in decreased volume, lines and wrinkles. Through stimulating collagen production, PRP helps to promote even skin tone, reduced scarring, improved skin texture resulting in healthy, resilient, hydrated skin.
What is Plasma?
Plasma is the clear liquid part of the blood remaining once all other cellular components are removed using the centrifuge. Plasma carries out many functions in the body including fighting diseases, healing and hydration. During PRP treatment the plasma is used to suspend a high concentration of your own platelets.
What Are Platelets?
Platelets are small cells in the blood that contain a high number of growth factors which help to heal injured tissue or damaged skin. Platelets are required for blood clotting.
What are the benefits of PRP?
PRP improves skin texture and tone and regenerates collagen which helps reduce wrinkles and lines, improve skin texture around the delicate eye area, tackle blemishes, improve scarring and restore a healthy glow.
What does PRP Therapy involve?
Before
During the consultation will discuss your specific concerns and expectations and explain to you any risks that come with the treatment. After a consultation a numbing cream will be applied to the injection site for added comfort. During this time a small 10ml plus sample of your blood will be drawn from your arm. This will be spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the whole blood cells, creating your own Platelet Rich Plasma.
During
Once the numbing cream has taken effect your own platelet rich plasma is re-injected using a very fine, sterile needle. Multiple injections are required to give an over-all improvement to the area of concern.
After
Some bruising, swelling and redness are common immediately following the procedure. Most side effects should resolve within a few days and most people feel confident enough to return to work the next day or even the day of the treatment. The results of PRP therapy will start to be seen on the first hour and gain pace over several weeks after your first treatment, as collagen production increases.
How long does PRP therapy last?
Following a full course of treatment (3 treatments at 4-6 week intervals) the results of PRP therapy can be expected to last up to 18 months. A one-off treatment, can be expected to last for several months.
Can everybody have PRP?
Unfortunately not. Patients with abnormal platelet function, clotting disorders and chronic liver disease are not suitable for PRP therapy. Please remember to disclose your relevant medical history with me during your consultation.
Does PRP Therapy need pain relief?
A light numbing cream is applied prior to treatment to make the process more comfortable. Most clients only experience mild discomfort which is the result of the injections and only temporary.
Are there any risks with PRP Therapy?
Because you are using your own blood with no foreign substances, side effects are minimal. The injection process may cause some bruising, swelling and tenderness. As the platelets are the patients own there is no risk of transmissible diseases or allergic reactions. Infection risk is minimised by ensuring sterile technique and equipment.
What is the P-Shot® or Priapus-Shot®?
The Priapus-Shot or P-Shot is named after Priapus, the god of fertility in Greek mythology. He was known for his sizeable penis and permanent erection. The P-Shot is a natural, non-surgical treatment for men using Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) which is injected into the penis to to treat:
Erectile Dysfunction* (ED) – by improving blood supply to the penis it can result in firmer erections and enhanced sexual performance,
Peyronie’s Disease (PD) – a condition where scar tissue causes the penis to curve, making sex painful. The P-Shot can help straighten the penis by encouraging the growth of new, healthy tissue.
Lichen Sclerosus – a condition characterised by itchy white patches on the genitals or other parts of the body. The P-Shot can be a useful adjunct in treating it, but it is not a cure.
Penis enlargement – by stimulating the growth of new tissue a considerable increase in girth of the penis may be achieved (length increase is noted but not reported)
The P-Shot involves injecting the PRP that’s been harvested from the man’s bSex hormone-binding globulin Protein.
How does it work?
Whenever you sustain an injury where the skin is broken, for example, the platelets in your blood act to start the healing and repairing process. These platelets contain growth factors and proteins which stimulate the stem cells present in your body to produce new tissues including collagen, blood vessels and adipose tissue or fat.
It involves taking a sample of the patient’s blood which is placed in a centrifuge to separate out the platelet-rich plasma from the red blood cells. This is then injected into the area being treated. The procedure was developed in 1971 and first used in the 1980’s in Italy. It is now widely used in orthopaedics, dentistry, plastic surgery, sports medicine and hair loss therapy as well as veterinary surgery, wherever tissue needs repairing and regenerating.
What is the procedure like?
Typically a sample of about 18ml to 30 ml of blood is taken from the patient’s arm. It is placed in a centrifuge to separate the plasma from other blood cells resulting in a liquid with a high concentration of platelets.
Under a tropical anaesthetic the plasma is injected directly into the the penis, kick-starting the formation of new erectile tissue and blood vessels which result in improved blood flow, a firmer erection and an increase in *length and width of the penis. (*Noted)
The P-shot® is administered to 5 to 8 injections sites, using a fine needle. These sites are the base and shaft of penis and into the areas known as the corpora cavernosa (two identical sponge-like regions of erectile tissue containing empty spaces which flood with blood during an erection, enlarging the penis.)
The entire treatment takes between 30 minutes to an hour from start to finish. The injections only about 5 minutes.
Most people who have the treatment see an immediate increase in size directly after the procedure followed by a slight decrease in size over the next few days as the injected fluid is absorbed by the body. As new tissue growth is stimulated over the next 12 weeks, volume will increase again.
What’s the recovery period?
There is no down time. You can have sex the same day as your treatment.
What are the risks & side effects?
The risks associated with this procedure are minimal as there is no surgery involved and therefore no need for a general anaesthetic, no overnight stay in hospital and no prolonged recovery period.
As it uses your own body’s PRP there is no risk of an allergic reaction.
Some people may experience minimal discomfort during the procedure. Afterwards there may be a feeling of numbness where the local anaesthetic cream was applied but this is temporary and generally disappears within an hour or so after treatment.
A small number of men have reported a burning sensation after the injection but then disappears.
There may be minimal bleeding, swelling and tenderness at the injection site, but this is temporary and will go down within a couple of hours. Any bruising will disappear within a few days. There is no risk of scarring.
Is it suitable for everyone?
Do not have treatment if you have:
a urinary tract infection or inflammation on your penis
a sexually transmitted disease
a low platelet count
hypofibrinogenaemia (fibrinogen deficiency)
haemodynamic instability (collapse of blood vessels)
sepsis (a blood infection)
are undergoing anti-coagulation/blood clotting therapy (warfarin, dabigatran, heparin)
very low blood pressure.
Is it worth it?
The P-Shot® can offer a long-term improvement in erectile dysfunction and can significantly increase the *length and width of a penis. It is a safe procedure and no harmful chemicals or drugs are involved in the treatment. (*Note)
If only one treatment is required it is cheaper than surgical penile augmentation which costs between upwards of £5,000.
Research of providers of the treatment say 80% of men are happy with the treatment and consider it successful.
The claimed benefits may include:
a 10% or more increase in penis size (length and girth) although this may not be permanent and top ups may be required
a firmer erection
an increase in sensation
an increase in sex-drive and stamina
relief from the symptoms of Lichen Sclerosus
a straighter penis for those with Peyronie’s Disease.
3 sessions is required for the best results with a top up of one session per year
It is important to note: smokers may not experience the full benefits of the P-shot®, as smoking constricts blood vessels and decreases the body’s ability to heal and form new tissue, so the treatment may be less effective.

You are also able to straighten and bring the tip of the nose up.
Dermal filler is a popular treatment for wrinkles and facial lines. Treatment by an injection of dermal filler helps to “fill out” and smooth away lines by injecting a synthetic gel into the skin. Working together with the body’s own collagen, dermal filler helps to create volume and smooth out wrinkles. PDO Facelift
What is a PDO Thread Lift?
Thread lifts are a relatively new. If your face has loosening or sagging skin and you want a tighter, fresher more youthful look, this treatment may be suitable. There are no cuts or incisions, just injections.
Areas of use can be the whole face, eyes, smokers lines, jaw, everywhere. Also the neck, in face all over the body.
How does it work?
Polydioxanone (PDO) threads are a special medical grade thread that is thinner than hair, made of protein.Research has confirmed that PDO relaxes tendons and muscles, whilst a foreign body reaction improves the blood flow to the area stimulating neocollagenesis (the production of new collagen in the skin). It also stimulates elastin and hyaluronic acid, both substances are key to maintaining firm, youthful looking skin. Along with a the extra lift from using screw threads of required, the repositioning of skin helps restore youth and eliminates problem areas
COGS
Cog threads are similar to mono threads but contain barbs that attach to the underside of the skin. These barbs offer enhanced support to the structure of the skin to lift sagging tissue. These threads effectively promotes collagen formation around the threads and their barbs. local anesthetic is required for this treatment it is the nearest treatment to a face lift and with that i n mind, tenderness and bruise should be expected. The movement and tightness that can be achieved is dramatic.
Fox Eyes
The newest trend on the block within the aesthetics world - a look described as the 'fox eye', 'cat eye' or 'designer eye' - involves a cosmetic treatment which simultaneously lifts and elongates the upper eyelid, pulling the eye into a more almond shape, creating overall emphasis on the eyes.
To create fox eyes, the procedure involves injected local anesthesia. Then the desired COG threads are inserted with a using a cannula. Clients are usually leaving with there new look in less than 45 minutes, and results can last anywhere upto years with yearly maintenance.
Celluerase – Cellulite Removal Treatment
WHAT IS CELLULITE?
Cellulite is the term for the formation of lumps and dimples in the skin. The appearance of ‘bumpy’ skin varies in shape and size and is present in over 80% of people over the age of 20. It can affect both men and women, however, is more common in females due to the different distributions of fat, muscle and connective tissue.
HOW DOES CELLUERASE WORK?
Celluerase involves breaking and releasing the fibres with a special microblade. The bands of fibrous connective tissue are separated by subcision allowing the skin to spring back resulting in a smoother appearance.
The results are immediate and once a specific depression is treated it should not need further treatment
WHAT HAPPENS DURING TREATMENT?
Local anaesthetic is used to minimise any pain during the procedure, although there may be a moderate degree of discomfort during the treatment of certain areas. The injection of local anaesthetic may cause a stinging sensation before numbing takes place. If you find the procedure uncomfortable, further local anaesthetic can be administered.
A small microblade is then used to break the fibres connecting the skin to release the dimpled effect and give a smoother appearance
WHAT’S THE AFTERCARE ADVICE?
Paracetamol may be required for tenderness. Patients are more comfortable and have less swelling when a compression garment is worn.
You cannot bathe, swim, use sunbed, sauna/steam for at least 1 week post treatment
HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST?
The treatment results are permanent. Occasionally only one treatment may be required. If cellulite is extensive it may be necessary to perform more than one treatment as there is a limit to the amount of local anaesthetic which can be used.
WHO IS NOT SUITABLE FOR THIS TREATMENT?
People who have bleeding disorders
People allergic to local anaesthetic
People who are pregnant or breast feeding
Infection at the injection site
Side Effects
Following treatment, the area can be quite red, warm, tender and swollen for the first few days as healing takes place. Occasionally there may be some altered sensation, numbness or tingling within the area, this sometimes takes a few days or weeks to settle.
Although the micro blade used is very narrow, occasionally the treatment may result in a tiny scar. Thickened scars, such as hypertrophic or keloid scars, may occur. If you have a tendency for these, it is essential you inform me. Rarely the treatment may result in scabs, blisters or vesicles at the treatment site.
Pigmentation may occur due to the bruising within the skin, it is important to avoid exposure to UV light until healing is complete.
This is an excellent treatment to get rid of cellulite instantly, please message for consultations and appointments
Aqualyx® is a non-surgical solution to minimize and remove stubborn localized pockets of fat but a trained practitioner.
This technique, known as Aqualysis™ or Aquaplasty™, consists of injecting the solution into localised fat deposits. Aqualyx® consists of phosphatidylcholine – a natural substance which, when given in higher doses, can cause the destruction of fat cells.
Destroying the fat cells is a long-term solution provided you retain a stable weight, eat healthily and continue exercise as usual. Aqualyx® leads to a permanent reduction of fatty tissue; once removed, fat cells will not reappear.
Important: Aqualyx® is a body contouring treatment not a weight loss solution. Treatments with Aqualyx® are only applicable for small, localized areas. Clients must be within one stone of their recommended body weight to have treatment and be able to pinch about 3cm of fat.
Aqualyx® can be used on the following areas:
• Stomach (inc. six pack definition)
• Love handles
• Arms
• Chin
• Flanks and waist
• Inner and outer thighs and bum
• Underarms and armpits
Aqualyx® works by breaking down cell membranes to liquify the fat cell, destroying it permanently, releasing the lipids that are then eliminated naturally through the lymphatic system.

Jalupro HMW
How does Jalupro HMW work?
Jalupro HMW is an injectable solution that has been formulated using a clever combination of amino acids. Technically labelled as a 'dermal biorevitalizer', it eradicates skin depressions caused by ageing wrinkles and scars.
The science behind Jalupro works by feeding the connective tissue under the skin layers, otherwise known as fibroblasts. Fibroblasts produce collagen and repair skin to ensure it always has elasticity and great looking texture. As skin ages, the fibroblasts function reduces in activity; this can be caused by many factors, including spending too much time in the sun, intense smoking and other reasons. Consequently, wrinkles appear.
The amino acids in Jalupro HMW join forces with the existing fibroblasts to help them continue their pre-ageing function. The more abundant the amino acids, the more healthier the skin cells are, resulting in younger appearance. This natural phenomenon is an effective way for skin to look younger again without surgery.
What are the benefits of Jalupro HMW?
Jalupro HMW can be used to fade out scars and improve skin appearance by eliminating depressions specifically:
in the face, neck, decollete, underarms, hands, inner thighs, abdomen area and knees
When can Jalupro HMW be used?
Jalupro can be used as soon as the face area begins to show signs of ageing and photo-ageing. It can be used to correct dry and dehydrated skin. educe stretch marks and is especially ideal before or after any surgery is to take place.
How long will results last for?
Whilst results become more evident over time, the average effects can last for 6 months at which point one session would be required to top back up. Can be used prior to sunbathing and works well in mature aged skin.
